About Ayurveda, Viveda and Friends

Ayurveda has been around for thousands of years, it is one of if not the oldest form of medicine that is still being not only practiced but actually growing significantly during these modern times. ‘Ayu’ means life and ‘Veda’ means science or knowlede in Sanskrit, so Ayurveda means and is at its core the science of life.

Ayurveda is all about living in harmony/balance with the world around us. We call Ayurveda simply complicated, because at its core its very simple. Ayurveda is all about the simple knowledge that everything in the world, humans, animals, trees, desk, planes and so on, are made up of the 5 elements, Air, Earth, Water, Fire and Ether (Space). For beings that are alive we can use those 5 elements to create three distinctive body types or your Dosha as they are called. Those three are Vata which relates to Air and Ether, Kapha which relates to Water and Earth as well as Pita which relates to Fire (with some Water).

Ayurveda is a preventive medicine, which means that our aim is to be proactive when it comes to our health. While this is not always possible of course to predict future illnesses we can manage anything that comes up if we are already well balanced.

There is allot more knowledge so check back with us for new articles or even just email us to ask us what we should post next or we can answer any questions you may have.

Supporting A Balanced Life

Our Mission

Our goal is like Ayurveda, it is simply complicated. We simply want people to learn about how powerful Ayurveda can be as a tool to deal and manage with the completely crazy and hectic world we all live in. We dont think that Ayurveda is the end all be all of medicine, we believe that Ayurveda in conjuction with everything else that the world and its history has to offer us. The hard part is finding what works for each of us on a individual level, since we are all so different.

  • How Often are There Side Effects 20% 20%

The side effects that you notice with Ayurveda are not so much side effects but old effects. The reason is when we are rebalancing ourselves it usually brings up old thoughts, feelings, gas or even dietary restrictions until we are fully balanced.

When Viveda came into business nearly 10 years ago, it was really just an accident. Sebastian Peralta did his training for personal reasons more then professional and came back to an overwhelming interest from people wanting to experience and learn more of what Ayurveda can do for us.

Since then we have seen an amazing growth from people here in the west and we are realizing that a more holistic approach may not solve the problem as quickly but it will be more effective towards long term health and with very little to no side effects or complications.

Viveda began as just a way to give a select people some Ayurvedic treatments but within a year we were able to turn it into a full time business that had great potential for growth. Since then we have added a number of treatments we offer and have been expanding by giving treatments at more and more international retreats run by different people and making contacts from around the world.

During this time we also created a line of spices that are all made using the knowledge of Ayurveda, meaning we have the right spice blend for you no matter who you are or what your aggravation is.

We are continuing to expand at all times (yes even during covid). We are currently starting to make our own oils so we have 100% trust in the products that we use for our treatments. While we do not have proper bottles or labels yet to sell the oil we are looking for options on that front, so if you have any suggestions let us know.

My Message to You!

As we all learn at some point life is winding path and you may never see when the next turn or change will happen.

I am blessed that I am self employed and can manage my life with more control then most people.

I would love the oppurtunity to help show you what I have experienced through Ayurveda and how we can both help each other down the path 🙂

Sebastian Peralta has grown up in an alternative lifestyle since he was born, his mom was a painter and dad a photographer back then. But as life progressed and changed his mom became a spiritual teacher to help people learn and grow within themselves, his father took over the family business and over the years became a very savvy businessman in the Canadian language industry.

Growing up he while his friends went to church or had a family gathering every Sunday morning he and his brother would go to childrens yoga. This was the time that Berdhanya started learning about Ayurveda and what it can help with, so Sebastian started taking Ayurvedic medicine and doing breath exercises and even getting regular massages at the age of 10 years old.

Years later, after high school Sebastian was given the opportunity to go do his level one Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training in New Mexico, when he came back he got a job at a yoga studio as a receptionist to get an intro into the business yoga world in Ottawa. He soon realized that the yoga market in Ottawa was completely over saturated and you had to be very competitive to make a halfway decent life for yourself.

So he decided to not pursue becoming only a yoga teacher, he saw a school in India that teaches foreigners about Ayurveda and it was on the beach so he decided to continue his schooling a little further from home. Sebastian soon learned about Ayurvedic treatments, consultations and how it works behind the scenes of an Ayurvedic school/clinic by not only going to school but also actually receiving the treatments, talking to Ayurvedic doctors and even going to local Ayurvedic hospitals.

Since then Viveda has been founded and continues to grow with the knowledge he has built from his training and his experience. But Sebastian does not stop learning new things about Ayurveda or realizing just how powerful it can be once we know the basics of Ayurveda and ourselves.
